The East Butler FFA Chapter hosted and competed in the District 2 Leadership Contests on Wednesday, November 21st in Brainard, NE.

A total of seven schools and 245 individuals were present to compete in the speaking and parliamentary procedure contests. The contests are qualifying events for the State FFA Convention held in Lincoln the first part of April.

East Butler results included Laci Jo Smola, Senior Public Speaking, 2nd Place Purple and State Qualifier; MariBeth Kabourek—Cooperative Speaking, 2nd Place and Alternate to State Junior Parliamentary Procedure, 3rd Place and Alternate to State. Paul Rezac, Creed Speaking, 5th Place and a blue ribbon. Haley Reimer, Junior Public Speaking, 7th Place and a red ribbon. Shawn Gallagher, Job Interview, 6th Place and a red ribbon.  Delayne Bohac and Scott Heiser, Ag Demonstration, 8th Place and a red ribbon.
