This summer the chapter was very busy. They attended COLT (Chapter Officer Leadership Training) in Aurora, NE. They also had chapter activities at Gresham Days, Waco Days, and Utica Days. The York County Fair and Seward County Fair were also a very busy time for the chapter. FFA Members had many successes with their livestock projects.
October 24-27 the Centennial FFA traveled to the 80th National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, IN. While at Convention, members enjoyed sessions with keynote speakers, touring the Career Show, FFA Mega Mall, and many leadership workshops. They were very fortunate to watch Centennial’s own Kristen Pankoke walk across stage as a national proficiency award finalist. Pankoke’s proficiency area was Specialty Animal Production where she raises ostriches on her family farm near Beaver Crossing. Centennial also had four FFA members receive the American FFA Degree, which is the highest degree in the organization.
Currently, the chapter is getting ready for the District Leadership Skills Events contest, Career Development Contests, and several community service projects.
